First National Amputee Golf Tournament

Paralympic Golf Association of India (PGAI) is a registered non-profit organisation which was formed and run as non-governmental, non-profit sports organisations for golfers with disabilities in India founded by Mr. Pratap Dube, Founder and President, and Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary (Founder PGAI) of Paralympic Golf Association of India (PGAI) along with the likeminded persons. For the first time PGAI has conducted a First National Amputee Golf Tournament at Delhi Golf Club, Delhi on 24th of August 2009.

This tournament was conducted by a Mr. Pratap Dube, President Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, Sr. Vice President, Mr. Jasjit Singh, National Coach, Mr. Neeraj, Mr. Dinkar Marla, Mr. Lambart Kroger of Paralympic Golf Association of India (PGAI) and its team members. Delhi Golf Club was very supportive and provided a Golf Course free of cost to conduct this tournament.

The tournament tea off was done by Mr. Kapil Dev, Former Cricketer and Golfer and prize distribution was done by Mr. Ajay Jadeja, Former Cricketer and Golfer
In this tournament eight golfers with disability has participated. Where Col. R.S. Rawat was the Winner, Col. Gaurav Datta,  Ist Runner Up and Col. Rakesh Sharma, IInd Runner Up. The other participants who have shown their capabilities and talent and give success to this event are Mr. Ajay Gaikwad, Mr. Vikas Sonawane, Mr. Manvir Mangat, Mr. L. M. Singh and Mr. Javed Shaikh.
